Ryan Miller is a former professional ice hockey goaltender who is perhaps best known for his tenure with the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on July 17, 1980, in East Lansing, Michigan, Miller is widely regarded as one of the best American goaltenders in NHL history.
Miller played for the Buffalo Sabres from the 2002-2003 season through the 2013-2014 season, establishing himself as the team's franchise goaltender. He won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender in 2010 and was a key part of the United States national team at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where they won a silver medal.
