Semyon Varlamov is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender who currently plays for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). However, he started his NHL career with the Washington Capitals in 2008 as a first-round draft pick. Varlamov played five seasons with the Capitals, from 2008 to 2011 and then again from 2013 to 2014, posting a record of 89-47-14.
